The Cart House
The Cart House is near Duns in the Scottish Borders. It used to be a cart shed on our farm, so the windows are big and arched. It's detached, so it's just you out here.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have en suite bathrooms. One bathroom has a bath, the other has a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means things like the bedding and towels are good quality, and there's a hot tub outside.
Inside, it's all one main living space. The floor is wheelchair friendly at the entrance. There's a wood burner that swivels. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. We leave some basic things for you.
Outside, there's a patio garden with the hot tub. It looks out over fields. Really quiet.
You're a few miles from Duns for shops. For the coast, Coldingham Bay is about 25 minutes by car. Berwick-upon-Tweed is the same sort of distance. Edinburgh is about an hour if you fancy a city day.
The area is good for walking and fishing. There's golf and horse riding nearby too. For history, the Borders abbeys are worth a visit. Historic Environment Scotland has details. For wider planning, Visit Scotland is useful.
