The Cart House
The Cart House is in Fogo, which is near Duns in the Scottish Borders. It's a detached, converted cart shed by our farmhouse. You're on your own, but we're next door if you need anything.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with super king beds you can split into twins if you prefer. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, one with a bath, one with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, with things like a wood burner and underfloor heating.
Outside, there's a patio area with a hot tub. The view is over fields. It's very quiet here.
The place is all on one level and the doors are wide, so it's suitable for wheelchair access. There's parking right outside.
In terms of things to do, it's a good spot for exploring. Berwick-upon-Tweed and the coast at Coldingham Bay are about 25 minutes by car. Edinburgh is about an hour. There's fishing and horse riding locally, and a golf course not far away.
For history, the Border Abbeys are worth a visit. Historic Environment Scotland has details. The Northumberland coast, like Bamburgh, is within reach for a day out.
Facilities-wise, it's got what you'd expect: wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
