Broomhouse Lodge

Broomhouse Lodge is in Edrom. It's a short drive from Duns, which is your nearest place for a shop or a pub.

It's a stone cottage, detached. You can see the fields from the windows. There's a garden and a patio that's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.

The main thing about the living room is the fireplace. It's a proper inglenook with a wood burner. It gets used a lot in the colder months. The kitchen is bright and has a table for four.

You're just a short walk from the Whiteadder River. The local roads are quiet, good for walking or cycling. Fishing permits are available in Duns if that's your thing.

For a day out, you can drive to the coast around Berwick-upon-Tweed in under half an hour. The beaches up that way are good. Bamburgh Castle is really impressive, and Alnwick Castle and Garden are worth seeing too. Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle. Holy Island is fascinating, but you must check the tide times for the causeway.

Closer by, there's Manderston and Paxton House, which are big historic houses with gardens. Paxton House. Duns has a golf course, and there are plenty more around.

You can get the train to Edinburgh from Berwick, it takes about an hour.

The cottage has a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. You can bring one dog.
