Broomhouse Lodge

Broomhouse Lodge is on the A6105 just south of Edrom. It's a detached stone house, set back a bit from the road. The garden is enclosed and private, good for a dog.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star. There's a wood burner in the main living room. The kitchen is decent, has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

You're in the countryside here. It's quiet. The Whiteadder River is a short walk away if you're into that. The local roads are good for walking or cycling without much traffic.

Duns is about two and a half miles for a shop, a pub, and a golf course. For a proper beach, you need to drive towards Berwick-upon-Tweed, that's about fifteen miles. The coastline there is good. National Trust for Scotland has places nearby like Paxton House. Bamburgh and Alnwick castles are over the border in Northumberland, within about half an hour's drive. Holy Island is a bit further but worth the trip if you check the tide times.

Berwick-upon-Tweed station is about a twenty minute drive. You can get a train to Edinburgh from there in just over an hour.

We allow one well-behaved dog. There's an enclosed patio area with a barbecue.
