Cloud Cottage
Cloud Cottage is in Duns, in the Scottish Borders. It's a detached bungalow, so it's all on one level. You've got your own garden and parking.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One double, one twin. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything's there. The living room has a wood burner. It's good on a cold evening.
The kitchen is fine. Dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi works.
It's by the woods of Duns Castle. You can walk into the Duns Castle Nature Reserve from here. The town centre is a short walk too. There's a shop, a pub and a restaurant about three hundred yards away.
For days out, Berwick-upon-Tweed is about fifteen miles east. The Border towns are close: Kelso, Melrose, Jedburgh. They've got the old abbeys and a lot of history. Historic Environment Scotland has good information.
Edinburgh is around forty miles northwest, so that's a day trip. Over the border into England, you've got Etal and Ford.
Locally, there's a golf course and places nearby for horse riding. You're in good walking country here.
We take up to two dogs. There's no extra charge for them.
