The End Hoose is in Whitsome, which is a small village in the Scottish Borders. It's a semi-detached stone cottage. You get the garden to yourselves, which is just a patch of grass out the back.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The ceilings on the ground floor are quite low in places because of the beams, so taller people will need to watch their heads.
It's very quiet here. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have children. The floors are easy to clean, so muddy boots or paws aren't a problem. There's a lockable shed for bikes.
Inside, it's straightforward. Two sofas, a TV, a wood burner effect stove, and a cupboard with books and games. The kitchen has what you need. There's a highchair and a cot if required. Both bathrooms are on the ground floor.
You'll need a car. There's a shop and a pub in Chirnside, about two miles away. For a bigger shop, Berwick-upon-Tweed is about a fifteen minute drive. The coast there is good, and you can walk the walls. For walking, the Southern Upland Way/a> isn't far.
You're close to the border. Northumberland is about twenty minutes away. You can be at some of the National Trust castles, like Lindisfarne or Bamburgh, within half an hour. Coldstream and Kelso are nearby for other days out.
Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, parking, and all bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
