Newton Cottage Leitholm

Newton Cottage is a one-bedroom cottage in Leitholm, a small village in the Scottish Borders. It's on the ground floor. It sleeps two. The 5 Star rating means it's modern and well-equipped. It's attached to the main house on one side, but you have your own entrance and a private patio area.

The patio overlooks our garden. We're respectful of privacy, but if you see us pottering about, feel free to say hello. If the garden is producing vegetables or the hens are laying, we'll usually offer you some. The bed is a super kingsize. There's a wood-burning stove in the living room. We provide the logs.

Leitholm is quiet. There's no shop or pub in the village itself. For that, you need to drive a few minutes. Kelso is about ten minutes away by car. It's a nice market town with shops and places to eat. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about twenty minutes’ drive, and it’s worth a visit for the historic walls and the views from the bridge.

If you like walking, the Border hills are close by. For historic sites, you've got places like Melrose Abbey and Floors Castle nearby. The coast at places like St Abbs is about half an hour away.

Included in the cottage: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher, a cot and highchair. There's parking right outside. It's not suitable for pets.
