The Cottage Leitholm

The Cottage is in Leitholm. It's a village in the Scottish Borders, right near the border with England. The cottage sits by itself, facing fields.

It sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is downstairs. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs. Kelso is a 15 minute drive. It's a nice market town with a big square, the ruins of Kelso Abbey, and Floors Castle. Melrose, with its abbey ruins and the start of the Borders Abbey Way, is about half an hour away. Berwick-upon-Tweed is also around 30 minutes. It's an English town with interesting walls and a good station if you fancy a trip on the train.

If you drive for about 35 minutes south, you can get to the Northumberland coast. Places like Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island are over there. For walking, the Eildon Hills or stretches of the River Tweed are close by. The property listing mentions a network of country walks starting from near the cottage.
