Wind Hall Log Cabin is a log cabin on a hillside near the village of Gosforth. It looks out over Morecambe Bay and you can sometimes see the Isle of Man from the garden on a clear day.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with king-size beds, and one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living area is all open-plan, with a wood burner.
Outside there's a wood-fired hot tub. It's uncovered, so you're looking at the sky. There's also stabling available if you want to bring horses, you'd need to arrange that with me separately.
The village of Gosforth is about a five-minute walk away. There's a couple of pubs that do food and an Italian restaurant. Two of the footpaths into the village start from the property.
You're about five minutes in the car from the coast at Seascale or Drigg. Wastwater is about ten minutes' drive, and it's worth the trip. National Trust Wasdale has information on the area. For history, Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway are nearby.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, parking is on site, and it's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
