The Old Church Hall is in Seascale. It's a big old converted church hall, built about a hundred years ago. It's detached, so you've got it to yourselves. It's been on one of those home restoration TV shows.
It sleeps up to fourteen. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a proper big space for a group.
The layout is a bit different. Four of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with a kingsize bed. There are two bathrooms down there, one has a bath. The main living area is open plan, with the kitchen, dining, and a sitting area. The ceilings are high. There's a utility room with a washing machine and a desk if you need it.
Then there's another big living area that used to be the stage. It gets a lot of light and you could use it for anything, like yoga if you wanted. The stairs up to the top floor are quite bright and colourful. Up there is the fifth bedroom, which has three kingsize beds in it, and two more shower rooms. Off that bedroom is a little study nook with a view out to sea.
Seascale village is walking distance. There's a couple of pubs, a good fish and chip shop, and an ice cream place. The beach is sandy and long.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District. The western fells are about a twenty minute drive. Scafell Pike, the highest one, is accessible from here. For days out, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is close by, or you can drive up to Wasdale. The National Park sites are useful for planning: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
In terms of what's here: it's all on one plot with parking. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to four dogs. There's a patio and garden. It's near the coast and a golf course.
