The Cottage is in Gosforth. That's a village in the south western Lake District, about five miles from the coast. It's detached and sits back from the road a bit. You've got your own garden, which is fully enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps with a full house. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's a good size for that many people. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The facilities are what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive.
Gosforth has a shop and a couple of pubs within walking distance. The village is known for the Gosforth Cross, a Viking stone in the churchyard. It's worth a look.
For getting out, you're well placed. Wasdale and Wastwater are about a ten minute drive north. That's proper mountain scenery. The coast at Seascale is about five miles west. For a bigger town, Whitehaven is roughly twenty minutes away by car.
