Crompton Cottage
Crompton Cottage is in Bretforton. It's a terraced cottage right in the village. The building itself is old, but we've put in proper central heating and modern comforts.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both are decent sized doubles. There's one bathroom downstairs. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a wood burner in the front room. It works well and we leave you a basket of logs. The stairs are old cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
Outside, there's a walled courtyard. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a table and chairs out there, and a BBQ.
Bretforton has a good village pub, the Fleece Inn. It's a proper old place, a National Trust pub. They do food. For a shop, you'd need to drive to Badsey or Evesham.
You're on the edge of the Cotswolds here. Chipping Campden and Broadway are about fifteen minutes by car. Stow-on-the-Wold is a bit further, maybe half an hour. Cheltenham is about twenty minutes away if you want a bigger town.
If you like walking, the Cotswold Way is close by. There's fishing on the River Avon, and a few local golf courses. If you're coming for the horse racing, Cheltenham Racecourse is a straightforward drive.
In terms of what's there, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
