Stable Cottage is in Bidford on Avon. It's a one-bedroom place that sleeps two. It's detached, so no one's next door. The building used to be a stable, so it's a conversion.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxury. The layout is open plan on the ground floor. There's a kitchen, a dining area, and a living space all in one room. The kitchen has the original manger built into it, which is a nice feature. The shower room is a wet room with a glass ceiling, so it's quite bright.
Upstairs is the bedroom. It's in the old hayloft. You get up there by paddle stairs. They're quite steep and narrow, so you need to be careful. The bedroom looks out over the garden.
Outside, there's an enclosed courtyard garden. It gets the sun in the morning. It’s private.
The village centre is a short walk. There's a café, a supermarket, and a few pubs. Some pubs have live music in the summer. You can walk along the River Avon from there. It’s flat and good for a stroll. Stratford upon Avon is about a 10-minute drive away. You've got the RSC theatre, Shakespeare's houses, and all the shops there. There's also an hourly bus from the village if you don't want to drive.
Further out, the Cotswolds are close. Places like Broadway and Chipping Campden are within half an hour. The Vale of Evesham is nearby too, with good farm shops. Cheltenham Racecourse is about 40 minutes by car.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. The property is wheelchair accessible to get in, but the bedroom is upstairs. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
