Lady V

Lady V is a static boat on the River Avon, near Barton. It’s not a cottage, it’s a boat you stay on. So it’s different.

It sleeps three, but it’s really best for two. There’s one bedroom with a double bed in the bow and one bathroom with a small shower. It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s clean and has what you need, but space is tight.

The deck at the back has seating and you can fish from there. You go down three steps into the main cabin. There’s a small kitchen, a table, and a TV. The steps are steep, like boat steps are.

You’re moored in a quiet spot on the river. It’s very peaceful. You can hear the water. The village of Barton is tiny, just a few houses and a church. For a pub or a shop, you need to drive to Bidford-on-Avon, which is about four miles. They have a couple of pubs by the river.

Stratford-upon-Avon is about a twenty minute drive. That’s where you’ll find the Shakespeare sites, the theatre, and more places to eat. Warwick Castle is about half an hour away.

You’re right on the edge of The Heart of England Forest. There are walking paths along the river and through the woods from here.

Facilities: the boat has WiFi, a TV, bedding and towels are included, and there’s parking on land next to the mooring. You can bring one dog. It’s all electric, so heating and power are included.
