The Doveling is a barn conversion on a farm estate in Aston Subedge. It's not a working farm anymore. It's quiet and tucked back from the road.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own proper bathroom. That's handy. One is a wet room on the ground floor, and there's a ramp to the front door, so it works if someone has mobility issues.
The main thing is the lounge. It's built around the original dovecote tower from the 17th century. The nesting boxes are still there in the wall. It's a big room, but with the wood burner on it gets cosy. The stairs up from there are a bit steep, just so you know.
You walk into the place through a glass atrium. It's a sunny spot. The kitchen is large and has everything, including a wine cooler and a coffee machine. Bedding and towels are included.
Outside is a private courtyard garden. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. There's a tap with warm water for washing muddy paws. You can have a BBQ out there. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.
The local pub is in Churchill, about a mile away. It's a decent walk. Chipping Campden is two miles. That's where you'll find most of the shops and other pubs.
For days out, Stratford-upon-Avon is about 20 minutes drive. The RSC is there if you want to see a play. Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are in the other direction, also about 20 minutes. The Cotswold Water Park is around 25 minutes away if you're into watersports.
For walking, you're close to the Cotswold Way. National Trust places like Hidcote and Kiftsgate Court are very nearby. Cotswolds National Landscape has good maps and ideas.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
