Kent House is in Carmarthen town. It's a terraced house, built in the Victorian period I think. You're right off the main street, so you can walk to the shops in a few minutes.
It sleeps four. Two proper double bedrooms, they're both a good size so you're not squeezed in. There's one bathroom but it's big. It's got a separate shower and one of those roll-top baths. It's a modern bathroom put into the old house.
The kitchen has a range cooker. It heats the room well in winter. There's a small courtyard out the back with a table and chairs. Parking is on-street. You usually find a space nearby but I can't guarantee it right outside.
It's a 4 Star place. That basically means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a log burner in the front room, which is nice when it's cold. The stairs are typical for this kind of house, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
You can bring one dog. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a cot in the cupboard under the stairs if you need it.
From the house, you're a five minute walk to the castle ruins and the museum. The Wales Coast Path is accessible nearby if you drive a short way. The coast at places like Llansteffan is about a twenty minute drive. Pendine Sands is about half an hour.
For walks, the National Botanic Garden of Wales is about twenty minutes away by car. You can also drive into the Brecon Beacons National Park in well under an hour.
