Upper Mill Barn White Mill

Upper Mill Barn is in White Mill, Carmarthenshire. It's an annexe attached to our farmhouse, and we run a working arable and sheep farm around it. The views from the front look out over the valley towards the deer park. You can see deer sometimes.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The living space is open plan with beamed ceilings. Because it's a converted barn, the ceilings are vaulted upstairs but the doorways are a bit lower than modern ones, so mind your head.

You're down a private track, so it's quiet. The wildlife is good here; buzzards, herons, foxes. You might see the barn owl.

The local pub in White Mill is about a mile's walk. They do food. The shop is a bit further, about a mile and a half.

You're right on the edge of Brecon Beacons National Park. Brechfa Forest is practically on the doorstep for walking or mountain biking. The Cambrian Mountains are south of here.

The coast is about a half hour drive. Cefn Sidan beach is seven miles long. Pembrey Country Park is there too. For gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney are both within easy reach.

Facilities: everything's included – bed linen, towels, electricity. There's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's off-road parking and a private garden area. No pets, I'm afraid.

It's one of two cottages. You can book it with Lower Mill Barn next door if you need space for more people.
