Maes Yr Ysgol Peniel

This is Maes Yr Ysgol in Peniel, just outside Carmarthen. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. Detached as well, so you've got your own space. The garden's enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog or kids.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms: one double, one with two singles, and one with bunk beds. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.

There's an open-plan living room and kitchen, and a conservatory on the back with a dining table. French doors from there go straight out into the garden. It gets the sun in the morning.

Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

Location-wise, you're about five minutes from the A48 so getting around is easy. Carmarthen has all the shops and supermarkets. For a day out, the coast is about 40 minutes west. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has the good beaches. Llansteffan Castle is closer, about 20 minutes.

Inland, National Botanic Garden of Wales is a 15 minute drive. Brechfa Forest is good for mountain biking and walks, that's about half an hour north. Folly Farm is popular with families, that's towards Tenby.
