Dingle Cottage is in Clun, Shropshire. It's an annexe attached to our house, but you get your own entrance and it's completely private for guests. It sleeps three, with one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and everything works.
The layout is a bit different. You come in on the ground floor to the kitchen. The main living area is up a flight of stairs on the first floor. Then the bedroom is up another flight of stairs on the top floor. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so they're a bit steeper than a modern house.
The kitchen has a door into our garden. That's for emergencies only, we won't use it. We're around if you need anything, but we'll leave you to it.
Outside, you have a patio with a table and chairs. Our garden is quite big and we've let parts of it go wild with flowers. Your dogs are welcome to have a run around in it, under control. We can take two pets.
Clun is a small, quiet village. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a cafe. The castle ruins and the old bridge are nice for a wander. It's very dark here at night, so the stars are good if it's clear.
For walking, you can pick up the Shropshire Way and Offa's Dyke Path from the village. Bishops Castle is about 15 minutes drive, Knighton about 20. Ludlow is maybe 25 minutes. That's where the good food shops and the bigger market are. The Shropshire Hills AONB website has lots of information.
Facilities wise: there's a wood burner with some logs provided, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate if you need it.
