Southways Cottage
Southways Cottage is in Cumwhinton, a small village near Carlisle. It's semi-detached and was fully redone last year, so everything is new and clean. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One has an en-suite shower. The stairs are standard for this sort of cottage, so a bit steep.
The back garden is fully enclosed and private. It gets the sun in the morning. There's a patio and some lawn.
You can walk to the village pub in about ten minutes. It's on the level. They do food.
You're close to the M6, so getting around is easy. Carlisle is about five minutes by car. It’s got the castle and the Tullie House museum. The Lake District National Park is half an hour away. Keswick and the northern lakes are easy to get to. The North Pennines, which are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are to the east. Hadrian's Wall is about a 15-minute drive. If you want to go into Scotland, Gretna and the Solway coast are also about 15 minutes.
What's here: parking for two cars on the drive, a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
