Stainton is one of the six glamping pods on our farm. It's on the edge of Corney, near the coast in West Cumbria.
It sleeps five, in two rooms. There's a double bed in the main bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and warm, with underfloor heating, but it's a compact timber pod, not a cottage. You get your own decking with a picnic bench, and there's a shared field for dogs.
We're a working farm with cattle. You'll see us going about our day. Guests can bring horses, but you need to book the stables and paddock with us directly.
The pod has no Wi-Fi. There's a TV. The kitchen has what you need for basic meals. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
There's a pub and restaurant you can walk to in under half an hour. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Beckfoot, about two and a half miles. The beach at Saltcoats is two miles away.
For days out, Ravenglass is close. You've got the Ratty Railway and Muncaster Castle. The Roman fort at Hardknott is about a thirty minute drive. Walking routes start from the farm gate. For wider area information, Visit Lake District and National Trust Lake District sites are useful.
