Foldgate Corney

Foldgate, in Corney. It's a converted farmhouse, sleeps twelve. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. You see it long before you get there, it's quite exposed up on the fell side. The views are massive.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well inside. There are wooden floors, some flagged floors, beams. Two living rooms, one with an open fire, one with a wood burner. It's comfortable, not fussy.

There's a big garden with a decked area to sit out. We've put a kids' play area in too. Parking for several cars on the gravel.

Inside, it's mostly fine. But do note the stairs. They're in the original part of the house. Some are steep, some are narrow. It's just how it was built. Just something to be aware of.

You're a mile from the nearest pub, about a mile and a half from a shop and café in Bootle. The coast is two miles. Ravenglass and Muncaster Castle are about five miles away.

If you want lakes, Wastwater, Ennerdale Water, and Coniston Water are all within twenty to thirty minutes by car. The western fells are right there for walking.

Facilities: everything on the list is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, bedding and towels included. WiFi works. We accept up to two dogs.
