The Coach House
The Coach House is in Corney, just outside Bootle. It's on the farm, so you'll see us next door and hear the animals sometimes. It's a proper detached stone building, used to be for the farm's coach. There's a garden you get to yourself.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. Has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The WiFi works. There's parking and you can charge an electric car.
You're about a mile from the beach here. It's not a sandy holiday beach, it's a proper Cumbrian coast. Good for a walk and fresh air. The pub's a drive, about five miles. There's a shop much closer, a few minutes' walk.
You're on the edge of the Lake District. The western fells like around Coniston are about a 20-minute drive. Good walking, quieter than the central lakes. For the coast, Ravenglass is ten minutes away. The little steam railway there is good, especially with kids. Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, wood burner. Bedding and towels are in. There's a barbecue and bike storage. You can bring two dogs. We've got a cot and highchair.
