The Barn Corney

The Barn is on the western side of Corney Fell, near Bootle. It's a converted barn around a courtyard, with some stables. The views are the main thing. You look out across the valley to Black Combe.

It sleeps twelve, which is a lot. Five bedrooms, four of them have their own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up with wooden floors and beams. The living space is all open plan, kitchen, dining, and sitting area. There's a big inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove.

Some things to know. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow. It's an old barn. There's parking on site. The garden and patio are yours to use. We allow up to two dogs.

The local pub is about a mile away, decent for a pint. Bootle is a mile and a half the other way, it has a shop and a cafe. The coast is two miles.

If you want to get out, Wastwater, Ennerdale Water, and Coniston Water are all about twenty to thirty minutes by car. Ravenglass and the Muncaster estate are five miles away. There's horse riding and golf nearby.

Facilities are what you'd need: towels and bedding are included, there's WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. We can provide a cot and highchair.
