Black Coombe is a glamping pod on our working farm in Corney, Cumbria. It's one of several pods here, so you'll see others around, but you've got your own space.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom with a double bed. The living area sofa converts into another bed. There's one en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet.
The pod has underfloor heating, which works well. There's a kitchenette with basic stuff to cook with: a Belfast sink, hob, microwave, fridge, and pots and pans. You can ask for a mini oven if you need it. You get bedding and towels.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable, with decent finishes and the hot tub.
Outside, there's a patio with seating and your own wood-fired hot tub. You get fuel for it. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.
You're on a farm. You might hear farm noises and, depending on the time of year, you can help feed the calves. It's about two miles to the coast. The closest pub and shop are a couple of miles away in Whicham.
Local things: the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is about a 20-minute drive. Muncaster Castle is similar. Coniston Water and Grizedale Forest are within half an hour for walking or being on the water. The Lake District National Park authority website is good for planning walks.
Facilities summary: private hot tub, patio, parking, TV, WiFi, kitchenette, underfloor heating. Dogs allowed.
