Withy Bottom Corney

This is Withy Bottom in Corney. It's a glamping pod on our farm. There's a few of them here, but yours is set a bit apart. The pod sleeps four, but that's in one bedroom plus the sofa bed. It's open plan.

It's got underfloor heating, which works well. There's a little kitchenette with a sink and a mini oven if you ask for it. TV and Wi-Fi are included. You get your own patio with seating and a wood-fired hot tub. You need to light that yourself, there's instructions.

We're a working farm. You might hear us and see the animals. Sometimes you can help feed the calves, depending on the time of year. You can bring up to two dogs.

The coast is about two miles away. The closest pub is two miles, the shop is about two and a half. Ravenglass is a short drive. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is there, which is a nice steam train trip into Eskdale. Muncaster Castle is nearby too, with its gardens.

For a bigger day out, Coniston Water and Grizedale Forest are within half an hour. The Lake District National Park site has good info for walking routes.

Things to know: it's a pod, so space is compact. The shower and toilet are in the same room as everything else. The sofa bed is in the main living area. It's rated 4 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable for what it is.
