This is Ash Studio, it's up near Rafford in Aberdeenshire. It's a compact space for up to three people, but it's really designed for one or two. There's one bedroom with a kingsize bed that can be split into twins if you ask ahead, and one bathroom.
It's a 3 Star place, which means it's clean, comfortable and well put together, but not luxurious. The living area and kitchenette are all in one room. The big windows look out over a paddock with some trees and ponds. It's very peaceful.
You share a veranda with the studio next door, and from there you can walk straight into the paddock. There are five other studios on the site, so it's good if you're part of a bigger group getting together. They can sleep fifteen in total if you book them all. There's an on-site chef who can cook for groups if you arrange it.
You're about two and a half miles from a shop, a pub and a restaurant. The coast at the Moray Firth is about seven or eight miles away. Forres and Findhorn are close by for a look around.
Location-wise, you're well set for getting out. You're not far from the Dava Way for walking. You can easily drive to a lot of places within thirty minutes to an hour: the Cairngorms National Park, Speyside for the whisky trail, and plenty of castles and beaches. Inverness and Aberdeen are both within an hour or so for bigger city things.
In terms of what's here: there's a patio area, parking, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. It's a working farm. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
