Ben Klibreck is one of two lodges on the Burgie Estate, near Forres. It's detached, so you're on your own. The views from up there are the main thing, right out over the Moray Firth. You can see for miles.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's quite handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. It's comfortable.
The hot tub is private, just for your lodge. It's on the deck. Sitting in it looking at that view is the point of the place, really.
You're in the middle of the estate grounds, about a thousand acres. You can walk straight out from the door. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals about. For a proper beach, you need to drive a few miles north. Nairn or Findhorn are good for that.
The town of Forres is about five miles away for shops, a pub, that sort of thing. The distillery at the end of the drive is Benromach. You can book tours. There are golf courses all around if that's your thing.
You can get to the coast, the Cairngorms, or Inverness in under an hour. Culloden Battlefield is about half an hour's drive.
What's there: it's open plan inside. There's a dishwasher, TV, washing machine. All your bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Plenty of parking right outside.
