Hazel Studio Rafford

Hazel Studio is in Rafford, which is a few miles inland from Forres. It's one of six places on a small farm. You're sharing the site with a few other guests, and there's a veranda you share with the studio next door, but you've got your own private space.

It sleeps three people, but it's all one open-plan room. There's a kingsize bed that can be split into two singles if you ask beforehand. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything's on one level and there's a wet room shower, which is handy. One well-behaved dog is allowed.

The big windows look out over a paddock with some trees and ponds. It's quiet. The construction is all local wood, so it feels solid and warm. It's quite a simple, clean space.

The coast at the Moray Firth is about seven or eight miles away. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about two and a half miles off in Forres. Forres itself is worth a look, and Findhorn village is nearby.

You're in a good spot for getting out. Speyside and its whisky distilleries are right on your doorstep. The Cairngorms National Park is under half an hour's drive for walking or skiing in winter. Inverness is about 40 minutes north, and Aberdeen is about an hour south.

On the site, there's parking right outside. There's WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. If you've got a big group, you can book other properties here too, and there's even an on-site chef available for catering.
