Birch Studio is in Rafford, near Forres in Moray. It's about two and a half miles from a shop and a pub.
The studio sleeps three. It's one bedroom, one bathroom. The bed's a king size but you can split it into two singles if you ask ahead. The kitchenette is small but it has what you need. There's a small sitting area by a big picture window. The view is over an open paddock with some trees and ponds.
It's part of a working farm. There are five other studio lodges like this on-site, so it can work for bigger groups if you book a few together. You share a veranda with the studio next door, which leads straight out into the paddock. The whole place is built from local materials, so it feels like it belongs here.
You're well placed for getting about. The Dava Way walking route is nearby. The Moray Firth coast is about eight miles away. Forres and Findhorn are a short drive. Inverness is under an hour's drive south, and Aberdeen is about an hour and a half east.
The area is good for outdoor things. There's local fishing and golf. You're not far from the Cairngorms National Park for walking or skiing. A lot of the Speyside whisky distilleries are within a half hour drive.
In terms of what's there, you've got parking, WiFi, all bedding and towels, and a washing machine. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
