Blackthorn Studio Rafford

Blackthorn Studio is a single room building on our farm in Rafford, near Forres. It's one of six studios here, all in a row. You share a veranda with the studio next door. The view is over a big paddock with some trees and ponds.

It sleeps three. There's one kingsize bed that can be split into two singles if you ask ahead. The space is open plan, so the kitchenette and living area are all in the same room. It's a modern build, done with local materials. The big window lets in a lot of light.

The place has a three star rating. It's clean, warm and straightforward. You get your own parking spot right outside.

You're about two and a half miles from the shops and a pub in Forres. The Moray Firth coast is about seven or eight miles north. Findhorn village is a short drive away.

It's a good spot for getting out to different parts of the country. You can be in the Cairngorms National Park, or up towards Inverness, or down to Aberdeen all within an hour or so. There's a lot of whisky country around here too.

We're a working farm, so you might hear tractors. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
