St Orans Conicavel

It's called St Orans. It's a one-bedroom detached cottage near Conicavel, in Aberdeenshire. It's for two people. The place was freshened up a few years back. It's warm and it works.

You get there down a track. It's quiet. The River Findhorn is close by. You're surrounded by woods, so you can walk straight from the door. You'll see a lot of wildlife.

Inside, it's got a woodburning stove, which is good. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. You can bring two.

It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxury. The bathroom has a shower.

The local pub and a shop are about four and a half miles away. The coast is about fifteen miles. The Moray coastline there is very good, with big beaches.

You're about half an hour's drive from the Cairngorms National Park. The Lecht and Cairngorm ski centres are up that way. For history, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George are within reach. Inverness is a bit further for a bigger day out.
