Pen Y Bryn Glantwymyn

Pen Y Bryn is a treehouse in Glantwymyn. It's in a wood. If you want to stay in a building, this isn't it.

It sleeps five, but that's one double bed and bunk beds for kids. There's just the one bedroom area and one bathroom. The shower is under the treehouse platform. The toilet is a compost toilet on its own little deck nearby. They're separate from the main living space.

The main space has a kitchen, a table, and a wood burner. It's compact but it has what you need. You'll spend most of your time on the deck or exploring the woods. There are rope bridges and tree hammocks. The stairs up to it are a spiral staircase.

You're in mid Wales, so it's quiet. Machynlleth is about five miles away for shops and pubs. They have a good market on Wednesdays. The coast at Aberdyfi or Aberystwyth is about a half hour drive either way.

For walking or climbing, you're not far from the Snowdonia National Park boundary. The Dyfi valley is good for wildlife. The Visit Wales site has information on the area.

Included in the price: bedding, parking for one car, use of the wood burner. You'll need to bring your own towels. No pets.
