Honeysuckle Cottage is in Aberllefenni, in the valley here. It's part of an old Welsh chapel built in 1825. We live in the upper part of the same building.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home. The stairs inside are cottage stairs. They're a bit steep and narrow. Just so you know.
The cottage looks out over the river, which runs through the two-acre garden. You can hear it. It's peaceful. The woods on the other bank are protected. There are paths from the garden that go up past a gorge and waterfalls, then on to Aberllefenni or Corris village. It's good walking straight from the door.
For days out, Machynlleth's about ten minutes by car. That's where the shops are. The Centre for Alternative Technology is just down the valley at Pantperthog. The coast at Ynyslas and Aberdovey is about half an hour away.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking here. If you need space for four, you can book this place together with Jasmine Cottage next door.
