Ty Mawr Glantwymyn

Ty Mawr is a treehouse near Glantwymyn in Powys. It sleeps five but it's really for two adults and up to three children. There's one main bedroom with a double bed, and built-in bunk beds in the same space.

It's a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's simple. It's a proper treehouse. You get up there by a spiral staircase. The shower is in an hut under the structure. The toilet is a compost toilet, on its own platform nearby. You'll need to be okay with that.

The main room has a wood burner, a small kitchen area, and seating. The windows are big and look right into the trees. You can see birds and squirrels. There's a rope bridge that leads to a tree hammock.

The location is quiet and rural. Machynlleth is about five miles away for shops, cafes, and a market on Wednesdays. For walks, you're on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The coast at Aberdyfi or Borth is about half an hour's drive. Cors Dyfi nature reserve is nearby if you want to see ospreys.

Facilities include the wood burner, garden area, on-site parking, and bedding is provided. It's classed as glamping. No pets allowed.
