Bwthyn Llys is one of two cottages converted from the old courthouse in Machynlleth. It's in the middle of town, so shops, pubs and the train station are a two minute walk.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom upstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and functional. The ceilings are low in some places, and the doors are a bit shorter than modern ones. Just mind your head.
You've got a small, walled yard out the back with a table and chairs. It's enclosed.
Machynlleth itself is handy. There's a good market on Wednesdays. The leisure centre is close if you want a swim. The Owain Glyndwr Centre is on the high street. For a day out, the Centre for Alternative Technology is about three miles north, and it's worth a visit.
Aberdovey is about a twenty minute drive to the coast. You can get the train there too. It's good for sailing or just being by the water. The Dyfi Osprey Project is a short drive away, and you can see the birds from April onwards.
The cottage has wifi, a tv, bedding and towels provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's on-street parking outside, which is usually fine to find.
