Bwthyn Llys (Machynlleth Old Court House)

Bwthyn Llys is an old court house on the high street in Machynlleth. It's Grade Two listed, so there are beams, stone walls, and the doorways are a bit low in places. It's just part of the building, it's not huge.

It sleeps three people in two bedrooms. One double and one single. There's one bathroom upstairs with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's an old building so don't expect everything to be brand new.

You're right in the middle of town. Everything is on your doorstep: shops, cafes, a couple of pubs. The Wednesday market is good for local bits and pieces. The house is down a passageway off the street, so it's quieter than you'd think.

There's a small enclosed yard out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon.

You can bring one dog. They need to stay downstairs.

For getting out, the train station is a five minute walk. The beach at Aberdyfi is about twenty minutes by car or train. The Snowdonia National Park starts just north of town. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like Aberdylan.

If you're driving, the Centre for Alternative Technology is about three miles north. It's interesting if you like that sort of thing. Corris Craft Centre is about ten minutes away. For a longer day out, you can drive to the coast at Borth or Tywyn in under half an hour.

It comes with wifi, a smart TV, and all the bedding and towels. There's a washing machine in the kitchen.
