This is Bryn Meurig Bach. It’s a treehouse near Glantwymyn in Powys. It sleeps five, but that's one double bed bunk beds for kids, so it’s really for two adults and up to three children. There's one bathroom.
It's a 3 Star place, which means it's clean and does the job, but it's not a hotel. It's basic. The shower is outside under the structure. The toilet is a compost toilet on its own platform nearby. You get to it by a rope bridge or a spiral staircase.
Inside, there's a wood burner for heat. The kitchen has what you need to cook. All the beds look out into the trees through big windows.
You're really in the woods here. You'll see birds and squirrels. There's a stream. It's very quiet.
Machynlleth is about five miles away. That's where you'll find shops, cafes, pubs, and a market on Wednesdays. For a day out, Snowdonia National Park is about half an hour's drive north. The coast at Aberdyfi or Aberystwyth is also within half an hour.
In terms of facilities, there's parking on site. Bedding is available for an extra charge. There's a patio area. It's part of a small group of properties, so you can book more than one if you have a bigger group.
