Hengoed
Hengoed is a treehouse in some woods near Glantwymyn. It sleeps five in one room, with a double bed and bunk beds all in the same space. There's one bathroom. It's a three-star place because it's simple. It's not a normal house.
The main part is built up in the trees. You get to it by a rope bridge. The stairs are a bit steep. The shower is in an outbuilding on the ground underneath. The toilet is a compost toilet, separate from the main treehouse. There's a wood burner for heat.
It's quiet here. You'll see birds and squirrels from the windows. The nearest proper town is Machynlleth, about five miles away. They have shops, a good market on Wednesdays, and places to eat.
For walks, you're close to the Snowdonia National Park boundary. It's about a 30 minute drive to Cadair Idris. The coast at Aberdyfi is about the same drive the other way. Visit Wales has information on the area.
The facilities are what you'd expect for glamping. There's a wood burner, electricity, an outdoor area, and parking. Bedding is included. It's one of several properties on the same site, so other groups might be nearby.
