This is Barcud. It's out near Llanboidy in Carmarthenshire. It's a wooden pod, not a cottage. Properly built, nice inside. You're on a smallholding, so there are fields around you. The views down the valley are good.
It sleeps four, but it's one room. There's one proper double bed and then a sofa bed in the living area. One shower room. Everything's on one level. It's got a 4 Star rating which means it's well done and comfortable.
There's a deck outside with a wood-fired hot tub. It's private. Because it's rural, there's no light pollution at night. You can see the stars if it's clear.
The place is very quiet. There's a vineyard and restaurant you can walk to, about ten minutes away. The nearest proper pub is in the village, a couple of miles by car.
For beaches, you're looking at about half an hour in the car. Amroth and Saundersfoot are the closest. Tenby is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Narberth is 15 minutes away for shops and cafes.
If you want days out, Visit Wales has good information. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website is useful for walking routes. Oakwood theme park and Folly Farm are about a 25 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking right next to the pod. Bedding and towels are included. It has WiFi and a TV. There's a BBQ you can use. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
