Y Bwthyn Blaenwaun

The place is called Y Bwthyn. It's near Blaenwaun, which is a small hamlet. You're right on the edge of three counties here, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, so it's a good spot for getting around.

It's a two-bedroom cottage, sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. One dog is welcome.

The main living area is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting room, all in one space. The underfloor heating works well. The sofa is comfortable. Outside, there's a garden with seating that backs onto farm fields. The hot tub is there, under the sky. On a clear night, you can see a lot of stars.

Things to know: The shower is in a ground-floor wet room. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. It's all on one level once you're inside, which is handy.

The location is quiet. You're looking out over fields and our smallholding. For a pint or basics, there's a local pub and shop not far. For a proper beach, you need to drive. Pendine Sands is about six miles of sand. Llansteffan and its castle are roughly 40 minutes away. Tenby is also about 40 minutes.

If you've got children, or feel like it yourself, Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm are within about 40 minutes. For walking, the Preseli Hills are close by and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path isn't far. You can get to Cardigan Bay in half an hour.

It has the usual things: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
