Cwm Hyfryd is a barn we converted, out near Llanboidy. It's detached, down its own track. You get the whole five acres to yourselves. The views are across fields and valleys.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The 5 Star rating means it's been done to a high standard. It's got underfloor heating, which is great in winter. The stairs are a standard flight, fine for most.
The main living space is open plan, with a wood burner. There's a sunroom that leads out to the patio. The hot tub is on that patio, looking out at the view. The original stone walls and beams are all still there.
There's a games room in what was the old stables. Plenty of parking. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, but it's on a slope and there are steps inside to the sunroom.
A public footpath starts on the land and goes up to Llanboidy. It's about a twenty minute walk. The village has a pub that does food. The nearest shop is about four miles away in Whitland.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Llansteffan has a beach and a castle you can walk up to. For a longer sandy beach, Pendine Sands is about the same distance. Visit Wales has details on Pendine.
Further afield, you're about half an hour from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The Preseli Hills are fifteen minutes to the north for walking. Oakwood theme park and Folly Farm are within a forty minute drive if you need a day out like that.
Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair available, bedding and towels included. WiFi is here but it's rural, so it's okay but not super fast. No pets, sorry.
