The Nest Aldeburgh

The Nest is on our farm near Aldeburgh. It's a one bedroom cottage, detached from our house. You'll have your own garden.

It sleeps four, but that's one double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. The sofa bed is fine for kids, but it's a sofa bed. The bedroom is bright, with doors out to the garden. The shower room is off the bedroom.

The living space used to be a conservatory. It's got underfloor heating, so it's comfortable year-round. The kitchen is small but it has an oven, hob, and fridge. We leave some basics like oil and salt for you.

The garden has a table and chairs, a gas barbecue, and a chiminea. You look out over the fields. The garden is enclosed, but if you have a dog that's a real escape artist, you'll need to keep an eye on them. We have our own dogs and horses on the farm.

We try to have things here so you don't have to pack everything. There are buckets and spades for the beach, a picnic blanket, and some games. For dogs, we have bowls and a blanket. We allow two dogs.

Location-wise, you're down a private farm track. It's quiet. The Sandlings Walk path goes right past the property. Aldeburgh is about a mile and a half away for the town, the pebble beach, and the fish and chip shops.

There's a pub in Knodishall, about five minutes drive. Thorpeness is ten minutes up the road. Further out, you've got RSPB Minsmere, Southwold, Orford, and Framlingham castle, all within about half an hour.

Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, parking, bedding and towels. We can provide a cot and highchair.
