The Nest Aldeburgh

The Nest is near Aldeburgh, on a farm. It's detached from the main farmhouse but right next to it. You get your own garden. It looks out over the fields.

The place sleeps four, but it's one bedroom. There's a super king bed and a double sofa bed in the living room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living room was a conservatory, so it's bright. It has underfloor heating.

The stairs are fine because there aren't any. Everything's on the ground floor. The shower room is big, with two sinks. The kitchen is small but it's got an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge. We leave some basics like oil and salt.

The garden has a seating area, a gas barbecue, and a chiminea. It's enclosed, but it's not completely escape-proof for a determined dog. We do allow two well-behaved dogs. There are other dogs living on the farm. We leave bowls and blankets for yours.

We've tried to have things here so you don't have to pack everything. There are games, books, DVDs, a picnic blanket, and things like Tupperware. For kids, there are toys, cups, and plates.

The cottage is on a private farm track, off the main road. It's quiet. It's directly on the Sandlings Walk if you want to go walking or cycling straight from the door.

Aldeburgh is about a mile and a half away. It's got the beach, shops, and places to eat. The nearest pubs are in Knodishall and Aldringham, a five minute drive or a walk via the footpaths.

Thorpeness is very close. Southwold is about half an hour's drive. RSPB Minsmere is nearby if you like birdwatching. Orford, Woodbridge, and Framlingham are all within a 35 minute drive.

Facilities: your own parking, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included. No extra charges for electric. There's a local golf course.
