Owls Roost is in Aldeburgh. It's a small, detached cottage on a quiet street. It's a 20 minute walk from the beach, maybe a bit less if you're quick.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The garden is private.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a washing machine, towels and bedding are included, and you can park right outside.
Aldeburgh is a proper coastal town. You can buy fish straight from the huts on the shingle beach. There's a lot of music and arts here, especially with the Aldeburgh Festival based at Snape. It's a cultural sort of place.
For walking, you're on the Suffolk Coast Path. RSPB Minsmere is about ten minutes drive north, if you like birdwatching. Southwold is up that way too, about 20 minutes by car, for the pier and the Adnams brewery.
Heading south, you've got Snape Maltings for concerts and shops, which is a ten minute drive. Orford is about a 25 minute drive, with the castle and great pubs for food.
Facilities wise: it's got a TV and WiFi. There's a local shop and a pub within half a mile. The kitchen has what you need. The sitting area is fine for two.
