This is Thatched Cottage in Sternfield. It's a detached 17th century place with a thatched roof, one of the oldest buildings here. It's been fully restored.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is helpful. One of the bedrooms is in a separate barn annexe, which has its own living area and en-suite. So you've got two living spaces.
The main cottage has a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It's a proper old cottage, so watch your head on some of the beams. The doors are low too.
It's got a good-sized enclosed garden. There's on-site parking. All the bedding and towels are included. The listing says it's a 5 Star property.
There's a pub about a mile away. The nearest proper shops and restaurants are about two miles, in Saxmundham.
The coast is close. Aldeburgh is about five and a half miles. You can get there in just over ten minutes. It's got the beach and the fish and chip shops. Further along, Southwold and Walberswick are maybe half an hour's drive.
The cottage can be part of a Christmas package if you want it.
You can bring up to two dogs. We also have a cot and highchair if you need them.
For local fishing and golf, you'll need to look up the specific lakes and courses nearby.
