Simpers Drift is in Great Glemham, Suffolk. It’s a detached cottage, converted from the old dairy on our property. We’re on a quiet lane about two miles from the A12.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a bathroom, and it's got a five star rating. The space has high ceilings and a wood burner for cooler evenings. The garden is for your use, and you’re welcome to walk around the wider grounds. There's a designated parking spot and an electric vehicle charger you can use, for a fee.
There’s a shop and a pub about half a mile up the road. The pub does food. The local area is good for walking and cycling.
You’re in a good spot for the Suffolk coast and countryside. Aldeburgh is about six miles away for the beach and fish and chips. Sutton Hoo is 15 minutes by car. The RSPB reserve at Minsmere is about 20 minutes away. Southwold and Walberswick are roughly 35 minutes.
Framlingham is nearby and worth a visit for the castle and the town. Some of the Detectorists TV series was filmed there and around here. The pub they used for interior shots is in this village.
You’ll have things like a dishwasher, wifi, and bike storage. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
