Simpers Drift is a detached cottage, converted from an old dairy. It's in our grounds in Great Glemham, down a quiet lane off the A12. It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which just means it's been done to a high standard.
The ceilings are high because of what it used to be. There's a wood burner for colder nights. The garden is mature and you're welcome to wander around the wider grounds.
The village pub, The Crown, is about half a mile away. They do food. It's the pub that was used for some of the interior shots in *Detectorists*. There's a shop the same distance.
You're about nine miles from the coast at Aldeburgh. Snape Maltings is closer, about six miles. They have concerts and shops. For birdwatching, RSPB Minsmere is nearby. Sutton Hoo is a 15-minute drive.
If you want to go further, Southwold and Walberswick are about 35 minutes by car. There's good walking locally, including at Pound Farm Woodland, which is mostly fenced and good for dogs.
Facilities: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger (there's a charge for use), a dishwasher, WiFi, and an enclosed garden. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
