The Yellow Cottage On The Hill

The Yellow Cottage is on the main road into Framlingham, up the hill from the market square. It's yellow. It used to be a shop a long time ago. We've kept the big shop window at the front, so the sitting room gets a lot of light.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's a 4 Star property, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are typical for an old place, so they're a bit steep and turn a corner.

You're about a hundred yards from the town centre. There's a good pub just down the road that does food, and plenty of other places to eat. The castle is a five-minute walk. Framlingham Castle is the one you might know from the song.

If you want to get out, Sutton Hoo is about twenty minutes away. It's an Anglo-Saxon burial site run by the National Trust. The Suffolk coast is about half an hour's drive. Places like Aldeburgh, Southwold, and Dunwich Heath are all easy to get to for a day by the sea. Minsmere nature reserve is good for birdwatching.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a washing machine in the utility room. The garden is out the back, it's enclosed. We can take up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
