The Yellow Cottage On The Hill
The Yellow Cottage is in Framlingham, up the hill from the market square. It's my house, actually. I bought it years ago when it was a bit of a state and did it up.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the doubles has an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's a normal house, not a show home. The furniture is a mix of old and new, stuff I've collected.
There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a hundred yards away, down in the town. The Castle Inn is the closest. Framlingham itself is a nice market town. You've got the castle, of course. Framlingham Castle is a five minute walk.
The back garden is enclosed. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a table and chairs out there.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove in the sitting room. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We provide all the bedding and towels. WiFi works fine. We accept up to two dogs.
For days out, you're in a good spot. Sutton Hoo is about twenty minutes by car. The coast at Aldeburgh or Southwold is half an hour or so. For walking, Dunwich Heath is great. Minsmere nature reserve is nearby too.
If you want to go further, Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich are easy to get to. Colchester is about forty minutes.
We leave a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate in the understairs cupboard if you need them.
