The Stables Saxtead

The Stables is near Saxtead Green in Suffolk. It's a conversion, used to be a stable. It's detached and overlooks a pond with lilies and ducks. The owners live in the farmhouse nearby. You get shared use of their four acre garden and there's an all-weather tennis court.

It sleeps five. Four bedrooms but only one bathroom, so bear that in mind. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable but not luxury. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.

There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a mile away. The famous Saxtead Green post mill is a mile away too, it's an interesting bit of history. Framlingham is two miles. It's a nice market town, has a castle and a mere you can walk around.

For the coast, Southwold is about twenty minutes by car. Good beach, nice town. Aldeburgh is roughly the same distance. Woodbridge, which is inland but on the river, is also about twenty minutes.

The facilities are pretty straightforward. There's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi. It says one pet is allowed. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a BBQ and a patio area.
