Oak Cottage is in Benhall Green, just outside Saxmundham. It's a detached brick and flint house, not a thatched one. The garden is a good size and enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom and one bathroom are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. Everything works. The stairs are normal.
Inside, it's quite spacious. There's a decent sized kitchen and dining area, and a separate living room with a wood burner. You get logs included. There's a TV and WiFi. The washing machine and dishwasher are both there. Bedding and towels are provided.
You can walk into Saxmundham in about fifteen minutes. There's a Co-op, a few shops, and a couple of places to eat. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive.
The coast is about seven miles away. Aldeburgh is the main one, with its shingle beach and fish and chip shops. Southwold is about half an hour's drive north. If you like birdwatching, RSPB Minsmere is very close. The National Trust at Dunwich Heath is nearby too.
Further afield, you've got places like Framlingham Castle, run by English Heritage. Norwich is just over an hour for a city day out.
Practical things: there's parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden has outdoor seating and a BBQ.
