Chick Hatch Barn
It's called Chick Hatch Barn. It's on our farm just outside Carlton in Suffolk. It's a beef and sheep farm, so you'll see the animals in the fields. The barn is detached and just for you.
It's a converted barn, so it's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom with a walk-in shower downstairs. It has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well and is comfortable. The main room has beams and a wood burner, which is good for cooler evenings. The doors open straight out onto a patio. You get a nice view over the fields from there.
It's got the things you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and we've put in an electric vehicle charger. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The Bell Inn pub is about a quarter of a mile down the road. The nearest shop and a restaurant are in Saxmundham, two miles away.
Framlingham, with its castle, is about ten minutes' drive. The coast is about twenty minutes. Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold are all in that direction. The RSPB Minsmere reserve is very close to the coast too. Dunwich Heath is worth a visit.
For walking, the Suffolk Coast Path is easily accessible. If you want information on the area, the Suffolk Heritage Coast site is useful, as is the National Trust page for the coast and heaths.
