Chick Hatch Barn Carlton

Chick Hatch Barn is in Carlton, Suffolk. It's a detached barn on our working farm, where we have sheep and beef cattle. You might see them in the fields.

The barn sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about the standard of finish more than anything. It's comfortable.

There's a wood burner in the living area. The beams are original. You get your own patio with a barbecue, and the view from it is just open fields.

The local pub is a ten minute walk away. The nearest shop and a restaurant are a couple of miles, in Saxmundham.

You're about half an hour from the coast. Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, and Southwold are all in that range. The RSPB Minsmere reserve is very close to there if you like birdwatching. Dunwich Heath is along that stretch too.

Framlingham, with the castle, is a short drive. So is Saxmundham. For planning trips, Visit Suffolk has good information.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
