Priory Barn
Priory Barn is in Ring o' Bells, near Lathom. It's a converted barn, detached. You get the garden and patio. The views over the fields are very good.
It sleeps seven in three bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The rating is four stars. It's spacious and clean. The original beams and stone are still there, and there's a big barn door in the hall. The cartwheel windows upstairs are a feature. The stairs up to the galleried landing are open-tread.
There's a wood burning stove in the living room. It works well.
The local pub serves food and is about a fifteen minute walk. It's on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, so you can start a walk or cycle from there. Burscough is two miles away. It has shops and Burscough Wharf, which has food and craft stalls. Ormskirk is about a ten minute drive, with more shops and cafes.
Southport is roughly half an hour by car. It's a Victorian seaside town with a long beach and a funfair. They hold events like the Air Show and Flower Show.
Further out, Manchester and the Trafford Centre are under an hour. The Lake District is just over an hour's drive.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ. No pets.
