The Granary
The Granary is one of four cottages here at Martin Lane Farm. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, sleeps six. You get three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
The main living area is up a flight of stairs. There's a big picture window where the original barn doors used to be. It looks out over the courtyard.
Outside, you've got your own patio area with a BBQ. There's plenty of parking. The cottages share about six acres of gardens and fields, so there's space to wander.
We're on a quiet lane, so it's peaceful. You'll need a car. The village of Burscough is about two miles away. It has a shop, a couple of pubs, and places to eat. Ormskirk market town is four miles for more shops and supermarkets.
The coast is about ten minutes' drive. Southport is eight miles. It's a Victorian seaside town with a long sandy beach, a pier, and the usual seafront things.
Martin Mere Wetland Centre is very close, just two miles. It’s good for a family day out. For a walk on the beach and maybe seeing red squirrels, the National Trust at Formby is about half an hour's drive. There are several golf courses nearby, including Royal Birkdale.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a stairgate at the top of the stairs. No pets, sorry.
