Rose Cottage
This is Rose Cottage. It's a bungalow in Jack's Mere, Lancashire. It's detached and everything's on the ground floor. We're next door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable with an open fire for when it gets cold.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. There's a lawn, a patio, and a conservatory full of chairs. It's sunny out there. The cottage is surrounded by our garden, so there are a lot of roses and other plants. You get owls and woodpeckers sometimes.
You can park off the road. Inside there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included.
The village is Scarisbrick. There's a local pub about a mile away. A shop is two miles. Southport is about four miles. It's a proper seaside town with a long pier, a sandy beach, and a waterpark. It's relaxed, not too loud.
For walking, the Leeds/Liverpool Canal is close by. Scarisbrick Marina is a mile and a half away. You can hire bikes at Lathom, about six and a half miles.
If you like nature, Martin Mere Wetland Centre is six miles away. For a day out, the National Trust at Formby has beaches and the red squirrel reserve. It's about nine miles.
Golf is big around here. Royal Birkdale is four miles away. Aintree racecourse is eleven miles if you like the racing.
That's about it. It's a quiet spot, handy for the coast and the countryside.
